What materials will I need?
You don’t need a lot of expensive art supplies to make healing dolls. You’d be surprised at how many materials and art supplies are available for cheap—or even free! I will send you a supply list of things I typically use when making my dolls.

Do I need to know how to make art dolls, draw, or be artistic?
You don’t need any particular experience with​​ art doll making. I will show you a variety of ways to make art healing dolls, including using paper grocery bags and tape or glue. It is helpful if you have a few fabric sewing skills, know how to use pens and markers,
and are a little bit familiar with painting and drawing. Discovery is about playing with all the language and forms that make up healing dolls.

Do I make each doll in order from the book?
The class is written and designed to start with the Heroine (Inner Selfie) and Guardian doll,  then move through the other dolls one at a time. It had to be done that way so that people could make sense of it. That said, you might feel drawn to make Loving Kindness first, and from there make the Guardian. Allow what doll images speaks to you and make her in your own timing.
Please don’t feel rushed. You have time to work at your own pace.

Do I have to make every doll?
This depends. If you want to get the most value from the class, I recommend you do all the Creative Actions and make all the dolls. That said, I put a lot of care into every project, so if you complete each one, I know you’ll learn even more and really develop your style. You will always have the option to take the class over.

How does the private Facebook group work?
There’s a private Facebook group for students to connect, share, support, and learn from each other, all in an encouraging and friendly environment that can be enjoyed from home. If you’re not ready to share your own work, no worries. Once you’ve registered, you can just join and observe. It’s the perfect way to see what others are working on, having trouble with, or being inspired by and to inspire and be inspired by others. I am available to answer questions and provide feedback.

How much of the course is online?
This course includes the material and activities from the book and additional information online, so you can access all of the content at any time, day or night.

I’ve never taken an online course. How does it work?
You must purchase The Healing Doll Way book, on many online bookstore like on Amazon or you can purchase a signed copy from me. This is an online class, so everything is 100% online. Once you register, you will receive the login and password needed to access the class’s private website on www.healingdollway.com 
The class website consists of a private page where lessons are posted in the form of text, videos, and photos.

Can I share my work on my blog and social media?
This is an emotional creative process for the maker and the group. I prefer you do not post photos or comments from the class. You can post photos of the dolls and art you make with your close friends, including that you are taking The Healing Doll Way class

Can I give this course as a gift or sponsor someone?

Can I use my pads and smart phones?
Yes, all of the videos and lessons are compatible.

Can I sell my healing dolls?
Please do not sell your healing dolls while you are in this process. Their images are inspired by deep emotion, beliefs, thoughts and stories; similar to stories from a diary. Wait until after you have completed the class to decide whether you would sell your art and healing dolls.

How will I receive feedback, support and coaching?
I am available to answer questions and provide feedback in the private Facebook group. You get two free 45-minute coaching calls, one during Discover and one during Awareness & Transformation. Additional 45 minute coaching calls are available for $60.

Can I get additional critique from you?
Of course. I’ll be there to make comments and give feedback whenever you need while you’re in class. You can use one of your free 45 minute coaching calls or purchase one for $60

Can I share the group page and Facebook page, class activities, and videos with a friend?
Please do not share. It is vital that this group be a safe space for the members. 

How long do I have access to the course?
You’ll have access to the class for two years.
